With reference to your cypher telegram of the

23rd. October, I have the honour to inform you that Mr. W. A. Hannibal has furnished an affidavit, of which I enclose a copy, as

to complete severance of his connection with the firm of Wendt and Company. He has also stated that he has leased premises at Canton from Messrs. T. E. Griffiths Limited for the purpose of an agency, and he gave Mr. Huygen three months' notice as from the lst. October of the termination of his agency.

I have, therefore, withdrawn the supervisors of his business, who were appointed in June last.
